BEAUTY SLEEP TIPS

  • FOLLOW A PRE-BEDTIME ROUTINE
    • Try to do the same things every night before you turn in to sleep, create a routine to tell your body that it’s time to wind-down.
    • Take a warm bath/shower.
    • Drink a cup of warm milk.
    • Avoid gadgets an hour before bed.
  • CREATE A RESTFUL ENVIRONMENT
    • Keep the room cool, dim and quiet.
    • It is important to have comfortable mattress, pillows and sheets.
    • Read a book, write a journal or listen to some soft music.
    • Diffuse essential oils or make your own linen spray (water & essential oils).
  • DURING THE DAY
    • Create a daily wake/sleep routine by waking up and going to bed at the same time everyday.
    • Try not to fit your exercise regime too close to bedtime.
    • Try not to go to bed hungry or too full, best to avoid heavy meals 2 hours before bedtime.
    • Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol spoils the quality of sleep.
    • Long daytime naps may ruin your sleep pattern.
    • Turn off your thinking caps before you turn in.
